Days 1:
Kampala - Murchison Falls
Upon arrival in Kampala, your guide will warmly welcome you and escort you to your hotel to rest briefly. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park, located in the northwest of the country. On the way, enjoy the picturesque landscapes and the local culture. Upon arrival at your lodge, enjoy dinner surrounded by the park’s natural beauty.
Day 2:
Game Drive and Boat Safari
Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading out on a thrilling morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Watch in awe as you encounter a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffaloes. In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. Enjoy a close-up view of the falls as you watch the powerful waters plummet through a narrow gorge. As you drift along, you may spot crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation and dinner.
Day 3:
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive takes you through lush landscapes and small villages, providing a glimpse into rural Ugandan life. Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your lodge, which is nestled in the forest’s edge. After settling in, enjoy a relaxed evening, preparing for your exciting gorilla trekking adventure the next day.
Day 4:
Gorilla Trekking
Today, embark on one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of your safari: gorilla trekking. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the trekking rules. Then, journey into the dense forest with a skilled guide and trackers in search of the mountain gorillas. Spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, an experience that is both humbling and awe-inspiring. After trekking, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy dinner, reflecting on the incredible experience.
Day 5:
Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, journey from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your lodge or embark on a short game drive. In the evening, take a leisurely boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This waterway is teeming with wildlife, including large herds of elephants, buffaloes and plenty of hippos. Keep your camera ready for excellent photo opportunities as you sail past the breathtaking scenery.
Day 6:
Departure
On your final day, enjoy an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a great opportunity to spot more wildlife, including the famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha and various antelope species. Afterward, head back to your lodge for breakfast and check-out. From here, drive back to Kampala, where your safari will conclude. You’ll depart with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s wildlife and stunning landscapes.
